| I sometimes cry at night
or I just lay down awake.
I can’t define what keeps me up,
what makes me sad, what disease I got.
I sometimes cry at night,
don’t ask me why.
I am not scared of growing older,
but I’m so worried about you my son,
since you must carry on your shoulders
all that I have done. Once I’m gone.
I’m not religious, but one thing I’ll do,
I will look for someone who will pray for you.
I will write a letter to God knows who
in which I will beg that you make it through;
the storm that is moving west,
the water ascending step by step,
through the evil traps and human threats
and depression that perhaps could end in death.
I wish you will make it to a safer place,
your love will take you somewhere far from hate,
your gorgeous nature will work as shield
and your old wounds one day will be healed.
My lil angel, you will learn to fly,
you will rise up high and find a guide
someone you like will be by your side
and will hold you tight when you’re about to cry.
Just live your life.
